Tanjore Painting Exhibition & Sales: International Indian Folk Art Gallery (IIFAG) is an Australian organisation with deep Indian roots. Tanjore Painting Exhibition initiative is conceived with the singular goal to highlight the beauty of endangered Indian Folk Arts while building a cross-cultural connection with Australian art lovers. One of the pathways to reach this goal is to have an exhibition and sale to showcase the artworks.
International Indian Folk Art Gallery (IIFAG) Australia proudly presents some of the endangered Indian Folk Arts of India at Tanjore Painting Exhibition, representing thousands of years of our beautiful Hindu mythology and culture.
At the Shiva Vishnu Temple, we will be curating over 80 traditional folk arts of India, including the largest collection of Tanjore paintings, made by artists from all parts of Tamil Nadu.
Tanjore Paintings have a special place in Indian Art & Culture.
Thanjavur Painting is an ancient traditional Indian folk art form and their common theme is mythology. They demonstrate that spirituality is a necessary component of a creative work.

Thus, exhibition and sale is organized in Space2b another Melbourne based organization pioneering in promoting indigenous arts and artwork of refugees/ newly arrived migrants. The event started on the 3rd of May and will run until 30th of May 2022.
Endangered Folk Arts Of India - Australia Events
International Indian Folk Art Gallery, Australia and local partners and sponsors are organizing a series of global events to create awareness about one of the oldest artforms of human civilization, which is sadly vanishing.
“Endangered Folk Arts of India” is the theme of our global roadshow to celebrate and showcase the beautiful Folk Arts of India to the world.
Our first event in Australia: International Indian Folk Art Gallery (IIFAG) Australia and Space2B, Australia proudly present some of the rarest Indian Folk Arts in Melbourne, Australia from 3rd May – 30th May, 2022.
We will be curating a unique collection of 28 artifacts. Genuine handmade artworks from traditional artists from all parts of the Indian sub-continent.
- Opening ceremony scheduled to be opened at 11am, Saturday, 7th May 2022 by

- Exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
- You will be able view and take home some of the oldest artforms that originated thousands of years ago and are on the verge of extinction
- Exhibition will close on Monday, 30th May 2022
