I, Vivekarani, am a Chennaite. Coming from a typical Middle-class Chennai household, my focus was on academics and post-marriage in the up bringing of my children. Never ever had the luxury of time in pursuing my interests.
In this age of nuclear families and a busy schedule, COVID lockdown came as a blessing in disguise to explore my passion in Indian folk arts.
With time now, I did not know how to take it forward. This is when I got to know Thiru. Senthilvel. He helped me learn traditional methods of Tanjore painting using modern tools and techniques.
Last three months of this experiential learning has helped me identify certain aspects of myself, thanks to my guru for this. I hope I can follow this trajectory to balance my time between my existential needs and passion.
