KUCHIPUDI— the Dance of Delight
Out of Eleven classical Dances that emerged from whole of India, four originated from south India. Kuchipudi is one among them. As it existed in a village named kuchipudi much before known around, the dance is called Kuchipudi Dance.
The ancient Sanskrit texts, being the source and reference of all classical dances of south India, there are lot of similarities between BaharathaNatyam and kuchipudi in form, content and presentation.
Giving facial and hand expression in eloquent manner with in the orbit of natyasasathra is the hall mark of kuchipudi dance system.
This painting has a mix of vibrant colours and creative use of shapes and varied patterns and techniques.
