This oil on canvas portrays two symmetrical ornamental peacocks by the side of a pond at the back drop of a beautiful starry night with a prominent moon in the centre just above the peacocks. The peacocks perched over a designed rocks are in vibrant colours in contrast to the background. This painting can be viewed in two ways. The twin peacocks have their feathers joined showing their unity and are sharing the water. Or it can be viewed as, though they have everything in common, they are fighting as the water is splashed . It can be fighting, playing or sharing. The contrasting perceptions is upto the beholder. This is the mastery of the artist.
